With
the release of their self-titled debut album, The Figureheads
find themselves with ten ear-pleasing songs for any occasion.
This album has the perfect blend of attitude, guitar work, and lyrical
brilliancy to perk any individual's interest.
The Figureheads were formed by high school buddies Ian Patrick
(Guitar/Vocals), Jeff Gozzo (Bass), and Eli Davidson (Drums). Inspired
by bands like the Doors, Led Zeppelin, and Nirvana, they released, on
their own, a low budget demo tape, recorded in a couple of hours, that
proved useful for a short period. The demo helped to grow a loyal
following in their hometown of Red Bluff, California, which is seen by
their April 3, 1998 performace at the Bear Flag Cafe, where over two
hundred people showed up with a late notice. But with their first CD,
recorded at Mars Studio, the Figureheads song writing style and
techniques have matured the music to its unique sound in the modern
rock genre.
The Figureheads are full-time students in Santa Cruz, California where
they are beginning to play shows regularly. Ian attends Cabrillo College,
while Jeff and Eli study at UC Santa Cruz. Although all three are imersed
in their school work, time is never a problem to partake in the love of
their lives -- MUSIC!
