Chief Engineer at Music Arts Recording Studios. Live Sound Engineer for the Joe Sharino Band. Independent Sound Engineer; Recording and live sound reinforcement.

Whiplash Sound Co., Independent Audio of the Monterey Peninsula, Scat Sound, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Big Noise Production, Almaden Art & Wine Festival, Monterey Blues Festival, Granite Rock Construction, Catalyst, and many others.

Las Vegas Hilton, The Ritz Carltons(CA), The Fairmonts(CA), S.F. St. Francis, Marriotts(CA), Hiltons(CA), Red Lions(CA), Double Trees(CA), Paul Mason Winery, Sheritan Palace(S.F.), Coconut Grove Santa Cruz, Pebble Beach Country Club, Spanish Bay, S.F. Olympic Country Club, Hyatts(CA), Sacramento Club, La Rinconada Country Club, Decathalon Club, and many others.

CHRONOLOGY:

1988 to Present - Sound Engineer for The Joe Sharino Band. Responsibilities include: Transporting equipment, set-ups/teardowns, mixing mains/ monitors, troubleshooting/maintenance, and liaison to clients.

1986 to Present - Staff Engineer at Music Art Recording Studios. Responsibilities cover all aspects of a recording session with the exception of billing.

1987-1988 - Manager of Whiplash Showcase/Rehearsal Facility. Responsibilities included: Booking, setting up equipment and mixes, supervising sessions, and billing.

1979-1984 - Independent Contractor for various clubs and bands. Responsibilities included: Roady, stage manager, and sound engineer.
1984-1987 - Staff Engineer/Stagehand at the Catalyst. Responsibilities included: loading equipment, documenting/configuring monitor board mixes, troubleshooting/maintenance, and was a substitute engineer monitors/mains (on the big stage). Sole engineer in the atrium.

1979-1984 - Independent Contractor for various clubs and bands. Responsibilities included: Roady, stage manager, and sound engineer.
EDUCATION:

1992 Cogswell Polytechnical College - Studied MIDI applications, sequencers, and sampling.

1986 California Recording Institute - Studied recording, engineering.

1984-1987 An apprenticeship under Roger (buffalo) Krone (a 10yr. sound technician at the Catalyst) studying sound reinforcement technology and other artistic applications.

1979 to Present - On the job studying microphone technique, mixing, artist interfacing with technology, and artists interaction with the public.
